Laurie Borg, President Laurie Borg joined NexCycle Canada as President in March 2008 with responsibility for our Plastics Recycling operations in Canada. Laurie subsequently assumed responsibility for our glass operations in Guelph, Ontario and our facility in Brampton, Ontario that processes glass, aluminum, plastics, cardboard and other commodities that are collected by the Beer Store in Ontario. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Borg was Chief Operating Officer for Canadian General Tower Limited (2002 - 2008) the largest manufacturer of automotive seating coverstock and swimming pool liners in North America. Previous to that, Laurie held a variety of senior positions with KPMG and Ernst & Young specializing in the area of Mergers and Acquisitions.
Scott van Rooy, Director of Operations Scott van Rooy joined Nexcycle in June 2006, with responsibility for glass recycling operations in Guelph. In March of 2009, Scott was promoted to Director of Operations, responsible for both glass and plastics operations. In July 2010, Scott subsequently assumed responsibility for the operation of the recycling facility that services the Beer Store. Prior to joining the company, Scott was a General Manager for Martinrea, a tier one supplier of fluid handling systems, where he was responsible for all tubular steel products manufacturing. Previous to that, Scott held numerous manufacturing management positions with Siebe Fluid Systems.
Joseph LaPierre, Director of Sales Joseph LaPierre joined NexCycle Canada as Sales Manager in April 2008 with responsibility for Plastics Recycling operations in Canada. Joe subsequently assumed the position of Director: Sales, Marketing and Procurement for the Canadian Plastics operation as well as Commercial responsibilities for the Canadian Glass operations. Prior to joining the Company, Joe held positions of Account Manager and then OEM Market Executive during a 13 year career in the Automotive Division at Canadian General Tower.
Aziz Delawalla, Director of Finance Aziz Delawalla joined Nexcycle Canada in 2009. Aziz is responsible for all finance and human resource functions of Nexcycle’s Canadian operations. Prior to joining Nexcycle, he was Plant Controller for Woodbridge Foam Corporation, a global manufacturer of polyurethane products for automotive applications. From 2000 to 2002, Aziz was Plant Controller at American Standard, a leading producer of bathroom and Kitchen plumbing products. He also worked in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Delawalla is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant.
