Randall transitioned to SMI in 1993 from Allwaste Asbestos Abatement, which was a sister company at the time.  In his 30+ years in the Safety profession he has managed and developed many unique and effective systems to drive regulatory compliance and promote safe work practices in an acquisition environment.    Through Randall’s leadership, Strategic Materials currently enjoys an overall Workers Compensation Experience Modification Rating of .95 with combined man-hours of over 1.3MM annually across all of the Operating Divisions of Strategic Materials.  Prior to joining the management team he attended Louisiana State University, and owned and operated a boutique construction company.

Since 2005, Paul has led SMI’s Western division which encompasses all operations in Arizona, California, Nevada,  Texas, and Mexico. The Western division
plants currently process over 1 million tons of glass annually and are the primary suppliers to the glass container and fiberglass industry in Western North America. Prior to joining Strategic Materials, Faherty worked in the turnaround industry and in the automotive aftermarket. Paul holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and is a Certified Public Accountant. He resides in the Los Angeles area.

Ed joined Strategic Materials in June 2011. Prior to joining Strategic Materials, Ed was President of Best Metal Products Inc. a Midwestern US hydraulic cylinder manufacturer. Ed spent the previous 11 years with Pentair’s Filtration Division as Vice President of Operations. Ed led ten global manufacturing sites with Pentair. Ed led the Pentair Filtration Division’s Lean Manufacturing initiative and was a key member of the Filtration Division’s acquisition and integration teams.  Ed started his career with John Deere and gained experience in all facets of manufacturing and procurement. In addition Ed worked for Borg Warner Automotive and Navistar International in Manufacturing Engineering and Operations leadership roles.   Ed holds a BS in Engineering from Iowa State and an MS in Engineering Management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
